Alejandro Vargas

Alejandro Vargas (he/him) is a native of Rahway, New Jersey, where he began dancing at Dancin’ In the Spotlight and continued his training, graduating from the Union County Academy for Performing Arts. In 2020, he was recognized at the state level for the National Honors Society for Dance Arts and was later awarded the New Jersey Governor's Award in Arts Education. He has attended summer programs, including Nederlands Dans Theater, Ballet BC, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. During his time at  The Juilliard School, he has performed works by Ohad Naharin, Aszure Barton, Camille A. Brown, Tiler Peck, Rena Butler, and Jamar Roberts, amongst others. Additionally, Alejandro is currently making his Broadway debut in Illinoise, choreographed and directed by Justin Peck. He would like to thank all of his family and friends who have long supported him throughout his journey.
